Hotel Puntaquattroventi

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. The hotel looks out over the pool and a beautiful sea, and our room was clean and fresh. Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was tasty and filling. One small breakfast suggestion: please offer glasses for juice and cups for tea and coffee instead of single-use plastic or paper ones.

The beach was covered with rubbish and glass, and there were no sun loungers. With the waves, swimming in the sea wasn't possible. The hotel itself feels badly outdated, with furniture over 10 years old, and everything seems full of garbage. The rooms are old too. Breakfast was disastrous. The food was bad, and the young man working there didn't seem to know his job. He cleaned tables with his bare hands and didn't wipe them afterward. The rest of the staff were okay. The only things that make this a 4-star hotel are the pool and gym. To me, it's worth 2 stars, not 4.

The setting is isolated and inconvenient, with little of interest nearby, and the room felt old and uncomfortable. The furniture is outdated, the bed wasn't comfortable, and the TV is a tiny 15-inch screen with only Italian channels. Breakfast was disappointing too: watery scrambled eggs, and when I asked the waiter for a fresh serving, I got the exact same thing. There are no tablecloths, and I saw staff sweep food onto the floor with their bare hands while clearing tables. Drinks come in paper cups instead of proper glasses. Hard to see how this qualifies as a 4-star hotel.

The WiFi was a real problem. For the whole week there was virtually no Internet access, so we had to rely on mobile data. I hope they sort it out. Otherwise, the location was great, with a beautiful sea view and a nice, large outdoor pool. The rooms were clean and air conditioned. Big thanks to the staff at reception, breakfast, housekeeping, and by the pool. Everyone was amazing, friendly, and helpful.
