The staff were very welcoming, and the balcony gave us a nice view of the city center. I think the first floor would have been better than our second-floor room. We missed the minibar that was supposed to be included with our booking. The rooms feel a little older, especially the bathroom, but it’s a cute little hotel in the heart of Erice.

The staff were so nice, and the prices were reasonable. The pasta dishes were incredible, and so was the canolo. Best restaurant in Sicily so far. Highly recommend.

The decor is outdated, but don’t let that put you off. This place is a gem, with genuinely authentic, home-style cooking, and it was the best meal we’ve had in Sicily so far. The Buon Ricordo 4-course set menu costs 40€, while the Tipico(typical) Menu is 25€. Ordering the 40€ menu also gets you a limited edition ceramic plate for the union of buon ricordo restaurants. My top dishes were the swordfish rolls (involtini di spada) and cous cous di pesce. Don’t miss this place in Erice!

We stopped for lunch in late June, and everything got positive reviews from us. I had the tuna focaccia sandwich, my daughters shared a lasagna, and my wife ordered a panini she still won’t stop talking about. She called it a taste sensation.

The menu had a fairly wide selection of Sicilian and Italian dishes. Prices were reasonable, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed our lunch.
