Hotel Beau Sejour

I felt comfortable and relaxed here, and I’d happily come back. My motorbike was kept in a locked underground garage for a few euros extra, which was a nice option. The hotel is right by the road between Aosta and Colle Gran San Bernardo, but my room at the back was surprisingly quiet at night. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and staff kept topping things up. Dinner was fine, just don’t expect a lavish, three-star menu. My room was clean and adequate, and the small bathroom was functional, as is common in Italian hotels. The family running Hotel Beau Sejour clearly wants guests to have a good stay, though communication can sometimes get lost in translation. Speaking Italian helps, or you can hope Elisa is working. She speaks English fluently and makes sure the rest of the staff understand what you need, or takes care of it herself. I think she’s invaluable to the family, and I really appreciate her effort. I stayed one night on July 3, 2025.

Everyone was really helpful with check-in and check-out, including Elio at reception and the team on the phone. At the bar, Emanuela was smiling and kindly served us breakfast even after the usual time. Fatima the cleaner also came after me when I dropped my wallet with my holiday money. The place is in a lovely village, and the staff are wonderful.

We couldn’t reach the hotel because unexpected snow closed the road, so we had no way to spend the night there and received no service. We’d booked a non-refundable room and asked several times for a refund, but the manager refused. We understand the situation was unexpected for everyone, but wish the hotel had been more flexible.
