Albergo Baschera

We booked by phone. The staff were friendly and capable, and the rooms were really nice and comfortable. It's listed as a two-star hotel, but I'd say it's worth at least three. The pizza we had for dinner was among the best I've ever eaten. Breakfast wasn't as extensive as at a five-star hotel, which is understandable, but the buffet was enough for us: good cold cuts with bread, croissants, and a few kinds of muesli with yogurt or milk. Coffee and cappuccino came straight from the bar. If I need to stay near Udine again, I'd definitely come back.

Right in the heart of town, with lively, fun surroundings, great service, and pizzas that are next-level good for a very fair price. Enjoy!

We expected a basic stay from a two-star hotel, but this was much better than we thought. The staff welcomed us warmly and never pressured us about payment, check-out, or breakfast. The whole place feels new, with high-quality furniture in the rooms and excellent air-conditioned heating. Our kids especially loved the bunk bed. Everything was spotless, and there were more towels and shampoo than we needed. Breakfast was fresh and had everything for a good meal. The woman working there even offered to prepare something else if we asked. Parking behind the hotel is free, and you can come and go without bothering anyone. I definitely recommend it.

We were after somewhere outside Udine, and this hotel looked decent, so we booked. It's quaint, the rooms are modern, there's no lift, and the buffet breakfast was decent. The town is pretty quiet, so this is more of a stop along the way, but it worked for us.
