The owners were so warm and thoughtful, sharing local sightseeing tips and checking each day that we had what we needed. We spent a week enjoying the sun and relaxing in beautiful Calabria, and would gladly come back for the same peaceful atmosphere and location. The old house dates to around 1700 and fits beautifully into the landscape, while the interior is modern and comfortable. Our clean, colorful room had a large bed and air conditioning for the summer heat, and the spacious kitchen let us cook our favorite Italian pasta. There’s a large terrace with a lovely sea view, and its tables are made from old millstones once used for olive oil. The nearest market is a five-minute walk away, and the beach is about seven minutes on foot.

There are plenty of spots to sit and unwind, and the beach is an easy walk away. It’s peaceful, quiet, and feels safe. The hosts are amazing, beautiful people, and I can’t wait to return. Look no further, you’ll love staying here!

I’ve stayed here twice, and each visit feels like coming back to a wonderful family. The hosts have thought through the comforts and amenities, and the hospitality is warm. The hotel is peaceful and relaxed, set in a stunning location among the foothills below the ancient medieval villages and their views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The beach is a five-minute walk away. You can also drive to the cliffside villages, Paola, Tropea, Pizzo, and other tourist attractions and religious sites. The roads are new and in great condition, with steep, winding switchbacks through forests and "macchia mediterranea" shrubs and flowers. If you ride a motorbike, it’ll feel like Heaven. There are plenty of beaches, and the terrace is a lovely place for coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon, or a digestif under the moonlight over the sea. You can picnic, get some work done in the sun, or chat with other guests. The whole family makes this a fantastic place to stay. See you next time!

I’m heading back next year, after my seventh stay here. It’s a comfortable place to relax, five minutes from the beach and from St Lucido. Amantea is 15 km away if you want to shop around. The rooms have AC and kitchen facilities, and Cesare and his family, Anna Luisa and Mario, do everything they can to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay.
