The south-facing garden looks out toward the forest, and hiking trails are close by. The apartments are new and very nice. In winter, though, it's hard to dry clothes for four people since the heating is underfloor, with no radiators. A few kitchen things were missing, like a ladle and wooden spoon, and you'll need to bring basics such as salt, pepper, coffee, and tea.

The breakfast had plenty of choice and good coffee, and we felt very welcome at Chalet Kristall. It's a little dated, but the rooms were spotless and the garden and pool were lovely and well cared for. The hosts were so friendly, even bringing homemade pancakes to our room, along with extra towels for the pool. For the price, it was a good deal and we had a nice stay.

The owner and the staff we met were very kind and helpful during our week here with our two dogs. Our apartment was roomy and practical, with a panoramic view. There's a big garden with a children's playground, plus a pool and sauna. Good value for money.

The apartments are bright and spacious, and my son liked the pool, but the staff didn't feel very friendly to us. They say families are welcome and pets are allowed, yet when our dog gave a slight bark at children playing ball, we got a call straight away. They didn't even check what was happening. It felt like any little bit of noise was unwelcome. After our holiday they called asking us to leave a review. This year I asked for a quote again, just out of curiosity, and got no reply. They could simply have said they were fully booked. People in the area are usually so welcoming, which made this feel even stranger. For the price, I wouldn't recommend it; there are better options.
