Hotel Caravel

Wow!

I'm only reviewing the beach service as a commuter tourist. On May 30, a dated umbrella and lounger cost me €20.50, which felt like very poor value. The umbrellas were packed together with no space between them, and the music stayed far too loud during the usual rest hours. When I asked for it to be lowered, they offered to move me and said it wouldn't be playing at the back of the row. I agreed, but the noise carried on there too. The big free parking lot was gone. My only free Saturday was completely spoiled.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. It's a lovely hotel right on the seafront, with a beach alongside it. Everything went perfectly, and I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

The beach is right outside, and the hotel sits about 12 minutes south of Fano. It has some age to it; they've tried to modernize things, though a few parts still fall short. Breakfast has a good selection, room service is available, and bicycles are free to borrow. Their chains could use regular lubrication, especially in the salty air. The new bike path starts at the door, so heading 12 kilometers south is easy. The stretch toward Fano still isn't finished, though. Hopefully cyclists will be able to use it one day.
