Really great.

We booked a room with dinner and a spa treatment on October 25, 2025, for December 15, and paid a deposit by bank transfer. My husband and I arrived today, rang the intercom, and heard a recorded Fast Web voice. The gate was open, but the only person there was the caretaker. He told us the resort had been sold two months ago and was completely empty. The people who used to run it have apparently sold up and are still taking bookings and deposits. What terrible people.

When we first went to Ille Roof for our wedding three years ago, we had a really good stay. The property had loads of potential, the rooms felt distinctive and suited a couple, and the staff were especially thoughtful about my celiac disease. They made me a generous gluten-free aperitif, and dinner was excellent, which meant a lot since eating out usually involves so many compromises for me. We came back this year for our anniversary, and it was a letdown. I heard from the staff that management had changed several times, and the current one isn't working. Upkeep and cleanliness were poor. The spa had dusty surfaces, dirty windows, and cobwebs, and the hot tub was full of dirty water. The pillows and mattresses looked visibly dirty too. Our room was disappointing as well. When I tried to open a curtain, the rusty rod broke off at one side and fell on me. The curtains had stains in several places, and the canopy had dust and paint splatters on it. For somewhere advertised as a luxury resort, and costing an arm and a leg, that's unacceptable. We paid separately for dinner, which was mediocre for the price. The aperitif was ridiculous, and they charged my husband separately for a glass of wine. Breakfast was meager. I got just two packets of very sad biscuits. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend it. The owners need to improve the structure and general cleanliness if they want to keep calling it a luxury resort. All I'll remember from this stay is the cobwebs. The potential is there, but they aren't making the most of it. Sorry, it failed.
