Farnese is worth taking a few hours to explore, with its beautiful neighborhood and little alleys. We were welcomed very warmly even though we booked just two hours before arriving, and our room was ready and comfortable. My wife and I slept really well: the bed was comfortable, the room quiet, and everything super clean. The owner kindly let us use the balcony at 8:30pm, where we had dinner with cold cuts we'd brought for an Italian antipasti meal. Breakfast was served on the balcony the next morning and was as good as it gets: fresh coffee and tea, homemade pie, cheese, salami, ham, yogurt, pretty much all you could ask for. We'd definitely stay here again, and we'll keep looking for places like this as we travel through Italy.

We loved the cozy, romantic atmosphere and our wonderful host. The place is in a lovely tower in the center of old Farnese, with spacious rooms and breakfast on the terrace.

A fabulous base for exploring Farnese and the surrounding places. The accommodation was cozy, the bed very comfortable, and our host was wonderful. We had a nice breakfast.

The village itself is pretty quiet if its best restaurant happens to be closed, but we had fabulous days at Marta by the lake and lovely evenings back in the village. I stayed here around 4-5 years ago and remember it as a really lovely place, with a great breakfast. Strongly recommend it!

Lake Bolsena is close by, with lovely towns like Bolsena, Pitigliano, Viterbo, and Orvieto nearby. Farnese also makes a great base for seeing this region, right where Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio meet. Rome is about 1.5 hours away, and the coast is 40 minutes away. Herma was such a warm, welcoming host and always had a good tip for an activity or a restaurant. We knew we'd absolutely come back when we left. The room felt amazing, with its wooden beams, fireplace, beautiful furniture, comfy bed, and bathroom with good facilities. The whole B&B is stylish but still feels like home, and the atmosphere is warm as soon as you walk in. Breakfast was exquisite, with lots of fresh, homemade food, and having it on the Italian balcony was a lovely start to the day. FANTASTIC is the word I'd use. Driving into Farnese feels like arriving in real Italy, and those little charming streets are right there as you walk to B&B Residenza Farnese.
