Hotel Granserena Hotel

The location was beautiful, the food was great, and everyone was so friendly. Our stay at Gran Serena was fantastic. We’re especially grateful to the staff for helping when I lost my wedding ring. They found it and returned it to me. We’ll definitely be back! 💛

I was stuck in our room for three full days after catching a vomiting and diarrhea virus during our stay. My husband got sick too, but he recovered after a day. We were there the week of June 14, 2025, and the illness cost me nearly half the holiday. Many other guests had the same symptoms. The hotel didn't warn or inform guests, even though many were over 60 and could have been more vulnerable. That lack of communication and precaution really took away from what should have been a relaxing stay. The hotel has a lovely setting and the beach, pool, and main building are all within an easy walk of each other. The public areas were very clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment team was a real highlight, with energetic, well-organized activities we enjoyed. I'd rate the entertainment 9 out of 10. The flies were a major problem in the restaurant and around the pool. They made it hard to relax or enjoy a meal, especially when they were landing on the buffet food. Drinks were another disappointment. Wine and water were included, but other drinks cost a lot. A small cup of Fanta Orange or Coca-Cola from the tap was €3, and a can was €3.50, more than at the Autogrill. Those charges added up and seemed unreasonable for an all-inclusive-style resort. Our room also fell short of expectations. It looked straight onto a garbage area, and there was visible water damage on the walls that hadn't been repaired. Blue Serena Hotel has a lot going for it, including the friendly service, cleanliness, and convenient layout. But the flies and extra charges for basic soft drinks detracted from the experience. With some improvements, it could be a really great holiday destination. Final score: 5/10.

I came away feeling refreshed and inspired, and I'm already planning another visit. I was there on a business trip, and GranSerena Hotel made a strong impression. The staff were attentive without hovering, so I felt looked after but still independent. The atmosphere felt both professional and relaxing, with elegant interiors, impeccable service, and Mediterranean character in the details. Mornings came with coffee and a sea breeze, while the evenings felt quietly luxurious. It was an ideal place for a business traveller who still appreciates beauty, calm, and authenticity.

The beach is nice, and the food quality is good. But the facilities fell short if you're looking to play sports, and tennis really isn't the place to go. The long cappuccino queues are also silly, because of the booking system.
