La Controra

The pool, lawn and carefully tended plants were a welcome break from the August heat, and there’s parking inside the B&B. La Controra was a great choice for our holiday. Francesca and her family were so warm and helpful, always ready with suggestions to make our stay special. Breakfast is at a shared table, so you can get to know the other guests and the hosts. This clean family-run B&B has just four rooms, each with its own entrance, and it’s well placed for visiting the Itria Valley. We hope to return and see more of beautiful Puglia. I highly recommend it!

Francesca, the owner, is lovely and always available with tips and information about nearby activities and places to visit. The garden and pool are very well kept. The rooms are simple, clean and air-conditioned, and the property itself has a distinctive, simple feel. It’s also well situated for getting to the area’s attractions.

Francesca’s helpful advice and professional approach made us feel at home right away. We had a very positive stay at La Controra. The location is convenient for visiting Puglia’s many sights, and the spotless rooms have plenty of comforts. There’s a swimming pool too. Thank you!

After a busy day of sightseeing, it was lovely to come back to the pool tucked among the greenery. We also enjoyed spending time with the other guests. Francesca was a perfect host, welcoming and courteous, and made us feel comfortable, almost as if we were at home. Thanks, Francesca!
