Masseria Spesseto

We had a great five-night stay. The location is good, the place is comfortable, and having both a pool and a gym was great. The price felt fair for what we got, and the staff and owners were extremely kind and welcoming. There were two small issues that should be easy to fix. The doors were all very creaky, including ours, the bathroom doors, the neighbors' bedroom and possibly bathroom door, and the entry door shared by our rooms. With paper-thin walls, the sound of someone opening a door often woke one of us in the morning. Also, our shower never got hot and sometimes didn't even get warm. Even with those problems, we had a lovely stay.

Leo and the team made our stay so wonderful that I'd give it seven stars if Google allowed. The hospitality was what made the place unique. Breakfast was insanely good, the towels smelled like home, and the pool was awesome. The flowers and meadow were well kept, and the mattress was one of the best I've slept on, up there with the ones at Masseria Spesseto and St Regis. It's worth coming for a week or longer just to enjoy the beauty of Puglia. There's a great mozzarella place right on the main road, and you could easily spend days or weeks within a one-kilometer radius.

Most places are within a 30-minute drive, including beaches and cities like monopoli and poligano a mare, and it's only a quick two-minute drive to pick up drinks, food, or snacks. The rooms are thoughtfully put together with comfort in mind. The olive trees are beautifully maintained, and we enjoyed all the outdoor areas, from the gym and pool to our private dining spot. Breakfast was delicious each morning in the Mediterranean sun and late-summer breeze. We didn't meet Leo in person, but he was easy to contact and communicate with. Grazie mille to the team!

We had a wonderful weekend and were made to feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. This family-run masseria is a peaceful oasis surrounded by greenery and centuries-old olive trees. Breakfast was generous, with homemade products, fruit, yogurt, focaccia, and plenty more to start the day well. The pool was lovely and spotless too.
