A real plus is how well placed Antichi Mulini is: the village is only a few minutes away on foot, and Ravello's most popular beach is nearby. The stretch of road by the gas station is dark for a few hundred meters, so use your phone light if you're walking at night. Getting to the beach without your own transport takes a bit of planning in the heat. You can rent a bike at the B&B, or get a scooter. The aperitif places can be a little pricey, though they look promising. The rooms are simple and have what you need. Most open onto a shared space with loungers and sofas, a nice place to spend time during the day. Breakfast has both sweet and savory options, so there's a good choice. The staff, the two owners and Rosa, who helps with breakfast and looks after the rooms, keep things relaxed and are thoughtful. Towels are changed every two days, and we had no practical or logistical problems. They suggested restaurants, but we didn't get the discount mentioned in the BBTips app they encouraged us to download. Jose's detailed knowledge of the island is a real asset. We'd recommend this B&B for a comfortable stay on the island.
We found a lovely, well-kept room and outdoor area, with a little garden and cared-for plants. The owners were kind and ready to help with anything we needed. It's just beyond the town's bustle, but still easy to get to. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with homemade cakes and cannoli. Renting a regular or electric-assist bike here was very handy, and cheaper than at other rental places. They also suggested a boat trip to Marettimo with a friend of theirs. It was well organized and affordable. Highly recommended.
The place is attractive, very clean, and well maintained, and its location makes it easy to visit the sights. Breakfast was good too. Giose was consistently warm and attentive. When my partner got sunburned, he prepared aloe leaves to help soothe it. After we checked out, he even let us keep a rental bike for the day so we wouldn't have to walk back to the center in the heat. He was quick to help whenever something came up, and Rosaria was kind and friendly as well. Thanks to Giose, our stay felt peaceful and worry-free. I did have a different experience with the owner on two occasions. Once, I needed help getting the hair dryer to work, and another time the bike provided by the property broke down, leaving me to ride several kilometers in the sun. I hadn't realized she was about to eat either time, but her irritated responses, including a remark along the lines of, "But just when I was about to eat!", made me feel uncomfortable. Giose was there and promptly took care of the hair dryer issue. When the bike broke, he handled it kindly and professionally, while the owner shook her head impatiently, as though I was deliberately causing problems. I understand I had interrupted her meal, but I feel a manager should stay courteous and professional even at an inconvenient moment. A faulty hair dryer or broken bike affects a guest's stay; those are service issues, not whims or favors. Guests can have unexpected needs, and they should be helped without being made to feel like a nuisance. I mean this as constructive feedback, not simply criticism. I hope future guests continue to get the excellent experience this property deserves. Thank you, and best of luck. Raffaele
My first visit to Favignana, and Antichi Mulini gave me the kind of welcome I hoped for. I came from France with family and felt as if we'd found a little corner of paradise. Luisa was always smiling, with a soothing voice, and ready to meet the guests' wishes. The breakfast was generous and varied, and you could tell it was made with love each day. Rosa was thoughtful and sweet, making the service feel cheerful and harmonious. Giosè listened respectfully and was ready to talk through any issue and find a solution for his guests. This is a sincere review. I hope to come back to these wonderful places and see these amazing people again. Ciao Antichi Mulini Ciao Favignana
A clean, well-kept residence near both the center and the beaches. It's easy to get around Favignana by bike. Breakfast was fantastic, and Luisa and Rosa made us feel so welcome at their table. Starting the day with them really lifted our mood. Highly recommend it.
