Mangia's Favignana Resort

The service really stood out. Everything was taken care of, and the staff made me feel welcome and looked after. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable, which felt in keeping with the five-star rating. The views are breathtaking, especially at sunset when the sky turns warm gold. It’s a peaceful, charming location and a lovely way to experience Italy. A great choice if you want elegance, relaxation and memorable moments. Highly recommended.

We were really looking forward to staying here, so it was disappointing to get an email just three days before arrival saying our booking had been moved to another hotel because of a closure. I’ve never had that happen before, and it seemed very strange. We weren’t offered a choice of where to stay. We wanted to be near the sea, for example, and the replacement hotel isn’t. Hopefully we’ll still enjoy the new place, but nobody apologized or explained why the change happened. It didn’t feel professional or reliable.

The resort had everything we wanted, from comfortable rooms and good food to a peaceful atmosphere. It was just the restful break we needed, and we’ll definitely come back. I’d recommend it to anyone after quality and authenticity in a dream setting. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed with real warmth and professionalism. Aurora and Jennifer at reception were always smiling, friendly and ready to help. Jonhi, the manager, also made our stay better with his attentiveness and willingness to help.

Roberta and Aurora at reception, Jack the Resort Life Manager, and Francesca the musician deserve a big thank you. They kept smiling and helped us enjoy our time in Favignana. Most of the staff were excellent and did what they could with the resources they had. Mediterra’s chefs are great, but the restaurant service was inexperienced. We waited ages to order, never got our drinks, and found items we hadn’t ordered on the bill, even though the staff kept apologizing and saying it wouldn’t be long. With those premium food prices, I’d probably eat at one of the great restaurants in centro instead. The resort feels weathered and needs some owner attention, fresh paint and maintenance. Our room was dark, with little natural light, and my wife had trouble breathing from dust in the AC vents, so we left the AC off. The team was accommodating and moved us to a better room. Favignana was still a nice stay, and Mangia's could make the place much better with some investment.
