Breakfast in the dining room was authentic and lovely, and we enjoyed the conversation just as much. Alessandra, who took over management this year, was so kind and helpful, and pointed us toward good nearby restaurants for dinner. The farmhouse is in a peaceful spot with a fantastic valley view, away from the bustle but still easy to reach the main attractions. Our rustic-style room was simple, clean, and welcoming, with a TV and mini-fridge. We had a pleasant family stay and really appreciated the hospitality. For anyone walking the Via Francesco, Agriturismo La Pila is a lovely place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful, whether you want local excursion tips or just a chat, and the personal, relaxed feel makes you comfortable right away. The countryside setting is beautiful, with vineyards and olive trees, while charming villages and sights are still nearby. The owners are glad to suggest things to do. Our room was spacious, clean, well cared for, and had a charming rustic look. The food was a highlight, fresh and local, with really delicious Italian dishes. They also offer cooking workshops and wine tastings, which add something special to a stay. It isn't a luxury resort, but it's a welcoming, personal place to unwind and enjoy the area. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a few days in a room/apartment and found it dirty and dusty, including a thick layer of dust on the bedside table. We told the owner, who acknowledged the problem but only wiped that table while we were there. The rest of the room stayed the same over the following days, and there was no effort to make up for the inconvenience. Since we'd paid a considerable amount in advance, we decided to stay anyway, despite the conditions. We don't usually post negative reviews, but couldn't ignore this. An experience to forget. NOT RECOMMENDED!!
