Agriturismo Le Vigne

Rita was so kind about letting us park our camper beside the property and plug it in. We spent December 31st at this farmhouse, had dinner with them, and really enjoyed the home-cooked food and family atmosphere. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

We were on our way back from a long trip and stopped for the night. They gave us an apartment for the same price as a room, and we ate there too. The fried tagliatelle, Signora Rita's specialty, was incredible. I don't think I've ever had a better first course. The owners were very friendly and honest. If you're passing through Fermo, it's worth stopping in.

The enclosed courtyard parking was a plus, and we did get a reasonably friendly welcome. But the staff spoke only Italian, so we had to use a translator for even basic things. Despite our explaining several times that we couldn't understand, we were met with long stretches of Italian at reception, over dinner, and again at breakfast. The hosts made no real effort to communicate, leaving us to keep translating what we could. The restaurant television played Italian programs loudly throughout. At breakfast they turned it down a little when we asked.

The food was really generous and delicious. We especially liked the tagliatelle alla Norcina, an absolute must if you're passing by. Before we left, we bought some of Rita's homemade liqueurs from the farm, and those were delicious too. The place is small and quiet, with a homey feel. Rita, the chef, was delightful, and we enjoyed talking with her over dinner. Someone had recommended the place for typical local food, and they were right. We'll stop in again when we're back in Fermo.
