Adelphi Room Breakfast

Just a basic, cheap room.

I was only here for one night and took the breakfast option. The manager was very kind and even offered to make breakfast for us although we hadn’t asked for it when booking. We accepted and were happy with it. The location is pretty good, a few minutes by car from both the center and the university science center. The rooms could be better, though, and the mattresses aren’t very comfortable. Cleanliness was satisfactory but not great, and the shower water had an odd smell.

The facility isn’t modern, but that alone wouldn’t make it a bad stay. The lack of cleanliness is what let it down. There were crumbs of who knows what in the bed, and apparently even vacuuming and mopping the floor was too much to expect. I’m speechless. We definitely won’t be back.

Mr. Vincenzo welcomed us warmly and immediately made us feel at ease. As parents of a disabled child, we especially appreciated how he went out of his way to care for her and make the stay enjoyable. The comfortable room and its lovely balcony met our expectations, and breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We’d stayed in top-notch hotels on a long trip from Hungary to Slovenia, then chose the Adelphi as our base when returning to Italy. Thanks to Vincenzo and his wife’s affection and characteristic courtesy, our time here was pleasant, though we regretted not staying longer in Ferrara. We definitely plan to return. Highly recommended.
