Bed Breakfast Locanda Del Re Sole

I wouldn’t recommend trusting the inn’s owner. I booked three rooms a month ahead and called several times to confirm and check other details. Only the evening before our stay, after I called to give our arrival time, the rather grumpy gentleman told me he’d noted the request but didn’t have the rooms. If I hadn’t called out of caution, we would have arrived with nowhere to stay. Terrible way to do business, and extremely rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Everything was spotless, and the owner was kind and friendly. The place is charming, surrounded by greenery, with plenty of parking, including covered spaces. The breakfast was fantastic.

The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful! We stopped here while cycling the right-hand Po path with our two small children, and I highly recommend it. The room really does sleep 4, and it and the bathroom were welcoming, spacious, spotless, carefully maintained, and equipped with every comfort, including a TV, hairdryer, and air conditioning. There was plenty of parking for cars and bikes, and we could leave the bikes in their storage room. Locullian breakfast! Excellent in every way!

We called a couple of days ahead to reserve two rooms. When we arrived, the owner said he didn’t remember the call and had written the booking in his diary for one day instead of five. That got sorted out, and the rooms were beautiful and very clean, with a good breakfast and attentive service. On the second night, the owner asked whether one couple could move to another room, and the other couple agreed. Later, when we returned to get both couples’ luggage from the proposed room, which had two bedrooms and one bathroom, the owner said he had meant for both couples to move there. We argued about it, then moved to another hotel.
