Centro Storico Rooms

The room we received was much smaller than the one we booked through Booking, basically a tiny attic room instead of the spacious one shown. It also had a terrace that was shut with two locks. When I tried to resolve it with the owner, who wouldn't answer calls and only communicated by WhatsApp messages, they said Booking had mixed up the photos. That wasn't true. The owner's behavior was awful, and they actually told us to leave them alone. Ferrara has plenty of better places to stay. The people running this one are the worst.

The place we got bore little resemblance to the Booking photos, and the terrace that was supposed to be included was dirty, barred, and locked. I feel cheated and disgusted. We booked through Booking and unfortunately hadn't checked the Google reviews first. The hosts' conduct and communication were far beyond what I'd consider acceptable. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Right by Ferrara's city centre, this is a nice group of rooms with plenty of space and everything kept tidy. The bathroom is fairly clean and comfortable. Guests share the kitchen with another room, so it needs cleaning after use. Prices are really good for what you get, WiFi is free, and there's usually someone around to help if needed.

I was extremely disappointed. The bed made a really irritating noise whenever I moved, and after the towels were changed, they left just one large towel for the two of us. The hotel also runs central A/C set at 25°. Is that supposed to be air conditioning? I had to complain several times before they lowered it to 21°.
