Booking and managing the room was one of the best experiences I've had. I booked over the phone and paid by card. There was a problem with the room right away because the previous guests had smoked in it, but the staff dealt with it promptly, professionally, and with empathy. The rooms are modest but welcoming and clean. The price isn't the lowest, though being inside the hospital is a real advantage. It's a great option if you need to stay near a sick relative. One suggestion: the interior window shutters don't do enough, and two blackout curtains would fix that.

The staff are courteous, payment on site is handy, and being able to cancel at the last minute without a fee is great. The walk-in shower was excellent too. The facility is spotless and its location inside the hospital is convenient, but the rooms are poorly soundproofed. The curtains, which I understand are the only ones allowed, don't block the light, so resting during the day is impossible. Our bed was incredibly uncomfortable, with the springs level with the mattress. A bathroom shelf for a toiletries bag would help. The air conditioning is noisy, and the TV antenna doesn't get Rai channels. For this type of room, I found the price excessive, though it makes more sense given the location and cleanliness. Perhaps including breakfast in the price, even as a ticket for the bar, might make up for some of the drawbacks of a guesthouse with hospital rooms.

The rooms were clean, but sadly I didn't have a good stay. You can hear noise from the neighboring rooms, and there are no blinds or curtains. It feels like sleeping under a streetlight, with daylight waking you at dawn, which is no good if you're there overnight and need to rest for a few hours during the day. It's too expensive for just a place to sleep, and there's no discount for people using the bar from breakfast through dinner. There are cheaper places five minutes from the hospital, though you'd need a car. I'll be going to this hospital for several months, so unfortunately I'll have to stay somewhere else.

The rooms are clean and welcoming, and there are excellent extra lodging and dining options. It's very convenient to stay inside the hospital itself. My only gripe is that single rooms aren't available often, so you may have to book a double for one person and pay more.
