Piazza Nova Guest House

The rooms were spacious, lovely, and well cared for, in a beautifully renovated place with history and character. The apartment was easy to reach from the center while still being quiet and comfortable. Our host was kind and helpful from the start, and the family run welcome made us feel more like relatives than guests. The host’s wife even baked us a cake, and it was delicious. We’d happily return.

Ruggero made us feel welcome and was happy to help with anything. This is an ancient building, renovated inside with real care and taste, and the antique furniture works beautifully throughout. The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are large and comfortable, and all the modern comforts are there. Breakfast in the room was a thoughtful touch, as was the chocolate torte, La Tenerina Ferrarese, waiting for us when we arrived. We had a fantastic two days in Ferrara, made all the more special by Piazza Nova. Thank you, Ruggero and Emanuela. An absolutely excellent guest house, perhaps the best we’ve ever stayed in.

The owners were among the most pleasant and accommodating people we met on our trip. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and the cake the owner baked was amazing. The apartment was cozy, had all the amenities we needed, and was great value. Its location is perfect for exploring Ferrera.

The hosts have a warm, personal way about them and helped us with all sorts of things. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. It’s a lovely guesthouse, well placed for discovering Ferrara and the surrounding Emilia-Romagna area. Highly recommended.
