We stayed with a baby, and the first night was a bit rough because of the sound coming through the entrance. You walk straight from the street into the bedroom, and you can hear people passing by. There’s also some noise when goods are delivered to the Conad supermarket just around the corner, only a few meters away. If the sound issue could be fixed, it would make a big difference. The apartment itself was modern and quite clean, with a comfortable bed, a small kitchen, and a separate bathroom. The shower was spacious, there was a bidet, and shower gel and shampoo were included. Hot water comes from a gas heater. It had what we needed, including AC, a fridge, washing machine, induction cooker, and hairdryer. The owner communicated well and sent the details in advance, including the key compartment code and Wi-Fi information. Internet speed was fine. There was also the usual €3 daily tourist fee per person. Room 28 is in an alley at the edge of Ferrara's old town. There’s no parking at the building, but a lot is a few minutes away. It costs 1,80€ per hour, though the Centro storico parking, about 10 minutes away, is much cheaper at around 0,80€. A nice apartment in a central spot, with friendly owners.

The apartment is on the ground floor, across from the nearby supermarket warehouse. We were unfortunately woken at dawn by goods being moved. The room itself was spacious and clean, the bed was large and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. They replied quickly and pointed us to the nearest parking lot.

Friendly, helpful staff and management that ran things impeccably. The room was spotless and had everything we needed.

One thing to know is that there’s a strong air freshener smell when you first walk in, which may or may not suit you. The studio is quiet during the day, but nights can be noisy, with people outside, neighbors, and garbage trucks disturbing our sleep. That may just have been coincidence. This wasn’t host Aga’s fault; she welcomed us at check-in. There’s a tourist tax of €1.50 per person per night to pay on arrival, and check-out is at your own expense. Inside, it’s a modern, spacious, minimalist studio, well placed for Ferrara’s main sights and parking in the historic center. It’s clean and cozy, and could work well for a night or two in either season. The security door and double curtains on the only window keep out the morning light. There’s a large wall-mounted TV and a Wi-Fi modem with the password, which are handy since there’s no signal inside. It also has an electric incense burner that changes colors. The kitchen is brand new, with two induction burners, a small fridge, kettle, and capsule coffee machine supplied by the host. There are utensils, dishes, cookware, and a small table for two. The large bed is comfortable and has a mattress topper. Sheets are provided, along with two pillows per guest, one high and one low. The bathroom is roomy and well equipped, though it has no window. Its extractor is powerful enough to clear steam and odors. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, a hairdryer, and a straightener are provided, as well as two showerheads, two towels per guest, and a shower mat. Hand soap was missing, but that was easy to sort out. There are three bins for rubbish and recycling, and the AC has hot, cold, and dehumidifying modes. I’d recommend it to couples after a modern, comfortable, affordable place in Ferrara.

Right in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the cathedral. It’s a comfortable studio apartment for a few nights if you want the comforts of a proper home.
