The garden is gorgeous and the property is beautifully appointed. The pool was definitely a highlight. We really enjoyed our stay, and Lesley was a gracious host. Breakfast was wonderful too. Thank you, Lesley!

We came across this beautiful place on our way back to Portugal in our campervan. We called at the last minute and arrived late, around 9:00 PM, but they welcomed us without hesitation. The camper pitch was perfectly clean, had electricity and water, and came with an amazing view. In the morning, Lesley came to introduce herself and the property, and warmly invited our daughters and us to breakfast. She was genuinely lovely. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise: she made almost everything herself, including fresh pancakes for the girls and eggs for us. It all tasted delicious, and we could relax in comfort while enjoying the stunning landscape. Lesley also invited us to use the swimming pool, but we had to get back on the road. The whole place is beautiful and tastefully decorated. We'd love to return one day, spend more time enjoying the property, and explore the nearby wine culture. Thank you so much, Lesley, for this lovely moment and for welcoming our family so kindly!

We spent two nights there in our campervan and loved Lesley's warm welcome. The setting is beautiful, and we could use the swimming pool for an extra charge. We highly recommend having dinner at her restaurant. Her cooking is refined and generous, just like her. The only small downside was that there was no shower, though the outdoor pool shower worked well as an alternative.

WHAT A VACATION. Lesley and Frank made us feel at home straight away, even before we'd put down our suitcases. They pampered us from the very first minute, which felt great after wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. Frank knows the area inside out and has a great personality. Each day he put together a route just for us, taking us to spots we'd otherwise have driven right past. They're places you won't find on Google Maps, and that local knowledge was priceless. The pool was still a little too cold, but the hot tub was blissfully warm and ready at just the right moment. Sinking into it while the air outside was chilly felt like pure luxury. Lesley's cooking can easily hold its own against the restaurants nearby. Every meal was top-notch, lovingly made, generous, and full of surprises. You can tell she loves cooking, and you can taste it. Breakfast alone makes you want to return: fresh eggs, pancakes, rolls, toast, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and cookies for anyone with a sweet tooth. It starts your day in a good mood. The rooms are cozy and warmly decorated, with an eye for detail. Lesley clearly takes pride in the place, and it all looks perfect every day. The garden is a peaceful oasis, with birdsong, fresh air, and a feeling of being away from the world. Waking up there is almost therapeutic. We stayed four days and could easily have stayed another week. My batteries are fully recharged. Lesley and Frank gave us a short break that felt like much more, as if we'd spent some time in another world where everything was just right. Thank you, Lesley and Frank, for your warmth, care, coziness, routes, food, conversations, and all those little things that make a difference. You've made a place where people feel at home on their very first visit. I'll never forget it, and I'll definitely be back.
