We were two Americans spending our last five days in this beautiful part of the NW Aosta Valley, after the Dolomites. The half-board rate was good value, and the location was so convenient, with a walk score of 97. A couple of shops, a pharmacy, bank, and gelato ice cream shop are literally across the road. The ski shuttle driver takes you up to the Val Tournenche base. From there, ski to Zermatt from the 6 pack chair Gran Sometta. The Swiss side was closed for the first two days due to avis, which was a drag, but everything reopened on day three. Dinner was excellent, and the chef was amazing. Alessandro, the proprietor's husband and our sommelier, made the evenings even better. Ask him about the local regional wines, he loves explaining them. Breakfast was top notch, with enough for everyone in our party. We also loved the homey bar and its little pub atmosphere each evening. A special mention to Valentina, a gracious and caring hostess, and to her wonderful golden retriever, Charlie. The two Saras, one of whom is the sister, and the dining staff, especially Tonya, were lovely too. We’ll be back with friends next year. Thanks for a memorable stay!

The staff made things easy for international guests by speaking English, French, and Italian, and they were welcoming, kind, and quick to help. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Tourist Valtournenche and would gladly return. The shuttle to the Valtournenche ski area was convenient, leaving every 10 minutes from 8:00 to 9:00 am and taking around 10 minutes. There’s a ski room for skis and boots, with boot-warming plates, and you can buy lift tickets at the hotel to skip the long queue at the Valtournenche ticket office. Parking is available too. Our spacious room was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast offered lots of fresh, tasty choices. It’s a great-value hotel with excellent service and ski-friendly facilities.

The town is pretty, and the location is good for skiing. The free shuttle takes you to the lift, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were very good. My room was enormous, though a little dated. It’s cheaper than Cervinia.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the food was consistently good. There was always a traditional Aosta dish among the menu choices. It’s a simple but quality hotel, and we found the room clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.
