Hotel Dolomiten

Out of the five places I’ve stayed in Südtirol, this is my favorite. I loved the bright room, with natural light coming through the french window and a view of the mountains. The owners are kind and welcoming. Dinner is worth trying, simple and good, just like home. They’ve also put together a booklet with thoughtful suggestions for restaurants and shops.

The hotel is within walking distance of the earth pyramids and other things to do, and I can’t wait to return. We had no issues at all during our two nights at the beautiful Hotel Dolomiten. The building, rooms, and interiors are gorgeous, and the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile. It’s a locally run place that felt like a breath of fresh air. My single room had plenty of space for my things, a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and a large window overlooking the town. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices, and the woman working there was friendly, quick, and efficient. I believe the woman at the desk was the owner, and she was amazing. You can also head into town if you want to try something else for breakfast.

This little old hotel is charming, probably a family business, and everything is spotless. Everyone was lovely and eager to help. I stayed several nights as staff for a hockey team playing in a nearby arena, and I was so happy there. It’s a 3 stars hotel, and I hope I’ll get to come back sometime. Marko, Slovenia
