Hotel Dino

The view was amazing, and the staff welcomed and helped us so warmly. We spent one night here while hiking the Via Degli Dei and had a great time. The room was clean, though a little older, as we expected from the reviews, and the location worked fine. Breakfast was okay, but we would have liked more variety. We only realized too late that bread and meat or cheese could be ordered alongside the sweets and pies. Still, it was a great experience and we'd recommend this place.

At the restaurant, the service was warm, the views were great, and prices were reasonable. The pasta was delicious, especially the fagotin with raddichio and pear, which I'd recommend. The rabbit was a little dry, but everything else was perfect. The hotel staff were helpful, and the location was great, so make time to sit on the balcony with a drink and enjoy the view. Rooms are simple but very clean. The bathroom isn't fancy, though the shower worked well. The walls seem quite thin, so bring ear plugs. Breakfast was OK, with packaged cakes and rusks, some fresh pastries, and fresh coffee.

The place gets busy with locals on Saturdays and Sundays, when they also serve pizza. Even in autumn, you can enjoy good food and drinks near the lit fireplace, with Florence below.

The terrace looks out over Fiesole and Florence, and the view is amazing. Great food and service too. Vegetarians should try the delicious " malfatti".
