Hotel Villa Bonelli

The staff are terrific. When I needed somewhere decent late at night, they checked me in over the phone within minutes, which was a real relief. Ask whether you can get a third-floor room, the views are phenomenal. This is my second stay, and I’ll be back again. The hotel is wonderful and deserves a higher rating.

The hotel is really cozy and clean, with good services and friendly staff. It’s also in a great spot in Fiesole.

I spent six hours waiting in the lobby until 7am after arriving, and the manager charged me for that night without even apologizing. I’d arranged a late arrival and was told it wouldn’t be a problem; they gave me a mobile number to call when I got there. My flight was delayed by about an hour, so I arrived after midnight. There was nobody at the desk, and nobody answered the phone. I left a message and emailed, but still had to wait. The rest of the hotel was average. The room was basic and clean enough, though the old building meant other guests’ doors opening and closing were quite loud. When I told the front desk the room was cold, they said there was no heating. Breakfast was adequate, but basic.
