Hotel Tenuta Il Burchio

The pool was magical, with little birds swooping down for water in the 38 degree heat. We stayed in room 8 above the restaurant and didn't hear any noise from it, despite what earlier reviews said. There were lots of children during our stay, and they slammed doors loudly, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. I loved the authentic Tuscan feel, comfortable beds, air-conditioned rooms, and amazing staff. I didn't catch the name of the man working breakfast and reception, but he gave us excellent local castle suggestions, all worth visiting. Burchio is quiet and there's not much around, so I'd recommend having a car. For a relaxing break away from the main city, though, it's a 5 star location. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave.

A quiet spot with lovely service and a nice breakfast. The AC struggles a bit when it's really hot, but otherwise everything was good. Highly recommend 👍👍👍

There was a lot to love here, from the historic charm and pretty views to the lovely rooms, excellent service, and a fantastic breakfast buffet. Our mattresses were super thin, though, while some other rooms had thicker ones, so that's worth checking when you book. You should definitely stay here!

Fine for a night. The room was OK but a little dusty, and breakfast was OK with a decent variety. We were offered a room inside the restaurant so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage upstairs. There's a small pool, a restaurant, and parking the bicycles in the inner courtyard was no problem. The place is a bit away from everything.
