We booked at the last minute and hadn't included breakfast, but I asked if they could make breakfast for six at 7:30. Enza kindly put together a homemade meal for us by 9. The farmhouse has just five apartments, each with two rooms and a shared area and kitchen. Enza was so friendly. We'd definitely come back!

Enza and Paolo made us feel welcome and were always helpful. The farmhouse apartments have an authentic Italian country feel, and the pool is a good size. It's peaceful, with lovely scenery, and a large supermarket is only ten minutes away. Everything we needed was there.

Enza speaks English natively, so communication was really easy. Everything was spotless, and she and Paolo were wonderful, welcoming hosts. The place is up in quiet hills, yet close to a lovely town. We joined the growing group of guests who return this summer. If Enza and Paolo have a room, don't hesitate!

The private terrace was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the pool had excellent loungers. There was a relaxed feeling among everyone staying there, while still being easy to find privacy when you wanted it. Enza and Paolo are incredibly hospitable and clearly care about what guests need. The apartments are very clean and equipped for a comfortable stay, even if you want to cook an elaborate meal. No surprise that so many guests return and recommend I Gelsi to others. The Chianti area is great for wine, and the location makes day trips easy: Florence is 30 minutes away, Siena an hour, and Arezzo 40 minutes. We loved every moment. If you're heading to Tuscany and Enza and Paolo have space, this is a great choice.

Enza and Paolo greeted us with such courtesy and helpfulness at their lovely green retreat. I've enjoyed staying here even outside the busy season. The old farmhouses have been renovated beautifully and are comfortable, with traditional details that make the countryside setting feel peaceful and connected to our heritage. It's tucked into the landscape, though only a short way from the main road, so you get both seclusion and easy access. A real chance to slow down and recharge.
