Lido Resort

The roof deck was a great place to take in the beach and mountain views, and having two lounges included on the beach right out front was perfect after a long day of mountain biking. I visited in late September for a biking holiday, and the quieter off season suited me well. There were few people on the beach, so I could choose any spot; I understand that in summer, chairs closer to the water cost extra. The staff at reception were fantastic, multilingual, and helpful with restaurant bookings and taxis. It's about a 15-minute walk from the train station. My single-room suite worked well, though traffic noise came in with the windows open. With them shut, it was completely quiet. There was also a large locked bike room with power sockets for charging my e-bike, which came in handy. I hope to return to this friendly resort.

We had a wonderful stay in this part of Italy. The apartment was just right, with a lovely view, and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Parking and access to the private beach were included.

The beach nearby is lovely, and the location is convenient if you want to stay by the sea. We chose the place after a long day out because the photos looked nice, but at 280 EUR for one night, it felt far too expensive for what was included. There was no water in the room, no breakfast, and no parking beside the hotel. The car park was a 10-15 minute walk away. First, we had to stop in a car-free zone where parking is prohibited, with only about five minutes to unload luggage. Doing that in 35-degree heat was a challenge. It was hard to find information about this while booking, if it was available at all. Our apartment wasn't modern or new, faced a fairly busy street, and the car noise was noticeable. Without most hotel services, that price was too high.

The front desk didn't seem willing to help when I raised the problems, and nothing was done about the missing lock on the balcony sliding door. We tried to get the windows shut more tightly, but could still clearly hear conversations outside, as if the seals weren't good. Our third-floor sea-view room was noisy because the windows weren't thick enough to keep outside sounds out. That made it hard for my child to fall asleep. I'm surprised other reviews didn't mention this. I wish we'd had the option to move to another room.
