Residence Il Gabbiano

The sea here was amazing, the bluest and clearest I've seen anywhere along the Ligurian coast. The beach right outside the residence was clean, with just two rows of umbrellas. The place had all the comforts we needed and was very clean. It's right at the entrance to the charming old town, and the sea is only a short walk down a little Ligurian alley. A bit pricey, but worth it.

After a couple of weeks traveling around Canada, I picked Varigotti for a bit of downtime and was glad I did. The apartment was clean and charming, the restaurant was excellent, and the beach was tidy and well cared for. The sea reminded me of Sardinia. The owners and staff were all very kind and helpful. I'm very satisfied, and we'll definitely come back.

There were four adults and a 15-month-old baby in our group, staying for two days with friends. The apartment was spacious and really clean, with everything we needed, from a washing machine and microwave to an umbrella, a pen, and an induction hob. Paid parking is available and pretty necessary, since there's no parking otherwise. The sea is close by, with a choice of public beach or private beach club.

Varigotti is small, but groceries, a pharmacy, a children's playground, and a tobacconist are all close to the residence. The playground is unfortunately right beside the Aurelia. Finale Ligure and Spotorno are nearby for evening outings, and the staff were welcoming. The residence and beach are both well equipped, and it's a good choice for families with children. For a longer stay, I'd suggest a sea-facing room with a balcony, since the inside-facing rooms feel more cramped. We didn't eat at the restaurant, though its prices seemed comparable to other local places. Parking around here is all paid, so we chose the property's private parking, which comes with a gate remote if needed. Compared with properties in other regions it's expensive, but this is Liguria.
