The owner was welcoming and kind, and offered generous suggestions for things to do. The apartment was comfortable, tidy, and clean. I was surprised by how much was provided: there were games and entertainment, plus cribs, high chairs, and playmats for small children. The kitchen had everything too, which isn’t always the case.

We’d gladly stay again. The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean, with the whole apartment to ourselves, so it’s great for families with children. Breakfast was Italian and suited the price, with coffee from a Bialetti and packaged rusks and croissants. The parking space is tight, but if you can parallel park on the right side of the street, it’s manageable. I managed it myself, nearly 70 years old and with a bike rack.

The room was in poor shape, and the owner felt insensitive. The booking already seemed like a hassle from the first phone call. Afterward, messages about the property's behavior and rules kept coming, which made us anxious. I should mention I booked by message on the owner's advice, not through Booking.com. We arrived around 11:30 PM as booked, two adults and three children. The owner showed us upstairs and immediately demanded €110 in cash, without asking for identification. The bathroom was awful, with no bidet or mirror and a shabby shower curtain. For the price, the apartment felt makeshift and bare. Breakfast was just a packet of croissants, an opened juice, and a liter of milk. The worst part was the repeated call at 10:06 AM insisting that I leave the room by 10:00, as agreed by text. She said my husband and two older children had already left. I was only waiting for my youngest to put on his jacket, and we went downstairs right away. By 10:10, we were all in the car. I then saw that at 9:55 she had reminded me to leave promptly by 10:00. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where payment was demanded on arrival without asking for documents, and it was especially unpleasant not to be given even five minutes when I had three children with me. It was a nightmare, and I strongly advise against staying here.

We had a warm welcome for our one-night stay in a lovely, practical apartment. It was clean, and I have no further complaints. The train station is about 15 minutes away, with Lake Como easy to reach from there in just two stops. If you walk to the apartment, don’t follow the Google Maps route.
