Hotel Fiuggi Terme Resort & Spa

After a 36-hour coach ride, I would have eaten just about anything, so the one dinner we had at the hotel was okay. Breakfast was a continental buffet with pastries, meat, and cheese. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a balcony over the foyer, though the shower was very small. There was a kettle but no tea or coffee; a pack could be bought for 8 euros. The staff were friendly, and the town itself is lovely, with shops, cafes, and bars a short walk away. We were there as a group with Leger Travel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was fine for a night or two. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either.

We had a great time here. The Deluxe room was beautiful and had a stunning view, and the spa was nice, if not very large. The receptionists were especially kind, and room service was great. It's a lovely four-star hotel, close to the centre of Fiuggi if you're travelling by car.

The photos made the place look more impressive than it felt in person. I also wasn't impressed by the cleaning. There were hairs on the bathroom wall, and I left a coin on the floor to see whether it would be picked up. It was still there two days later, so it seemed the floors hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast was another letdown. There were plenty of cakes, fruit yogurts, and croissants, but very few vegetables, cheeses, or cold cuts, and what was available was low quality. Some vegetable items didn't come out until well after breakfast service had started, and I had to leave early, so I missed them altogether. Not very impressed with this Best Western.
