Best Western Hotel Corsi

Hotel Corsi has become a place I plan to return to whenever I'm nearby. We first stayed a year ago, mainly because it's easy to reach from Fiumicino airport. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating, and pointed us toward Osteria di Maccarese for our last dinner in Italy. It turned out to be the best meal of our trip, so there's more to this location than airport access. The rooms are clean and efficient, the mattresses are firm the way I like them, and the shower has strong water pressure. Breakfast is exceptional, both in variety and quality. The hotel is behind a gas station, but that doesn't affect the experience. Its history is charming too: it grew from the gas station, which at one point also had a restaurant, into the remodeled hotel it is now. Large blown-up photos from the 50s or 60s decorate the lobby and breakfast area. The people who own and run it make all the difference. Vincenzo and his wife, whose name I unfortunately never learned, are genuinely warm and welcoming, not just doing it as part of their jobs. I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves one.

A comfortable lobby and shared area that's nice for hanging out or working, very clean throughout, and friendly service. Breakfast was good, with cakes made on the premises and excellent cappuccino. The room was small but nice and clean. It works well for an overnight stop, though there's not much of a town to explore.

The owner was wonderful and humble, and I respect how hard he works. Breakfast was great. The shuttle is pricey, but worth it. I took my teenage son to the nearby beach town and castle. It was quiet, and nobody really bothered us.

We stayed here with our daughter because the hotel was between the airport and cruise port. The rooms were beautifully renovated, with reliable AC and comfortable beds, but the staff made the stay. Claudia arranged all our transportation, and everything went perfectly. Allegra was lovely at breakfast, where there was a nice food selection and great coffee; she also suggested restaurants for our post-cruise stay in Roma. Simone was friendly and helpful, and generously sorted out dinner reservations and gave us tips about the local town. Lilo picked us up from the airport and drove us to the port the next day. He was a good driver and great company. The rest of the team were outstanding too, though we can't name everyone. TIP Ristorante across the street serves great pizza and pasta, but make a reservation. Some Canadian friends also said the Chinese restaurant across the street was good, though we ate at TIP.
