Kalasó Design Guest House - Rome Airport

Sophia is a gem, easy to talk to and very accessible. The place itself is beautiful, with simple, guest-friendly amenities that make you want to stay longer. It's right by the beach, about a 10-minute bike ride away, and bikes are provided free. I almost don't want to share this hidden gem, it's that underrated. Just be aware it's not wheelchair-friendly, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone using a wheelchair. Stay here, you won't regret it.

We were so glad we found Kalaso House for the night before flying home. The garden is lovely and tidy, and the welcoming feel starts right at the gate with its nicely designed sign. Inside, the house smelled wonderful. Our room felt modern and looked thoughtfully put together, with enough storage to hang our coats and shirts. The bed and linens were comfortable, and we appreciated the clean, modern kitchen and room amenities. It was so well insulated from outside noise that we barely noticed anything beyond our room. We felt safe and comfortable, and slept for 12 hours! Getting an Uber to or from the airport was easy. It took 4 minutes and cost 18 Euros for my husband and me. The owner was a pleasure to meet, communicated easily, and gave us clear self check-in instructions. If we come through Rome again, we’d choose Kalaso as a safe, beautiful, comfortable place to rest. We needed a place for the night before an early flight home, and the owners helped arrange a taxi for 4 am. It was also great to have food within walking distance. The area was quiet, and everything was super clean and very modern. Wonderful owners, highly recommend staying here!

We got a great price, and the place is close to the airport. The owner was friendly, breakfast was free and really good, and the room was new, well equipped, and spotless. We ordered supper through globo. Parking on the narrow street looked tricky, but it worked out perfectly and we parked right in front of the gate. Highly recommend!
