Luca was a terrific host, made us feel welcome, and gave us useful tips for the day. When he gave us directions to the highway, he even followed us as we set off to make sure we were going the right way. We felt well looked after. The room was quaint, relaxing, clean, and well kept, with plenty of space. And the capuccino was great, as expected. The main drawback for us was the location. It’s a little far from Florence proper, though close to highway access. That worked for our plans to see both the city and Tuscany, but it could be challenging if you’re focused on just one or the other. I also wish the laundry service cost a bit less. Still, we had a great experience.

Luca and Mario were kind, incredibly helpful hosts. Their place let us get a sense of everyday life in Florence and stay out of the downtown crowds, while still being a perfect base for visiting the city.

We were lucky to see the fireworks of St. John after our host suggested going. It was an amazing experience. The place was cozy and the host was great. There’s an Esselunga supermarket within walking distance, and the city center is just a few minutes away by car.

This is a lovely country stay just outside Florence. The house was restored a few years ago, and there’s now a swimming pool in the garden. The owner is helpful, speaks foreign languages, and cooks well.
