Hu Firenze Camping In Town

We chose hu Firenze Camping in Town after a great experience at its Rome location two years earlier. This Florence visit, in Bungalow 541 from 30.05.2026 to 05.06.2026, was deeply disappointing. We paid around €1,000, yet a normal shower was out of reach. Every day, hot water took 10-15 minutes to arrive and lasted only about 30 seconds before turning ice cold; the pressure was also so weak that showering was nearly impossible. In six days I managed just one proper shower. After the pool, we couldn’t properly rinse the chlorine from our hair because the water was freezing or barely flowing. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into constant frustration. The only good part is that we’re finally leaving. I can’t recommend the property or see myself returning unless these serious infrastructure problems are fixed.

We weren’t sure at first, but the place won us over. The camping resort is close to Florence and thoughtfully laid out, and we were very happy with our stay. Our bungalow was brand new, modern, clean, tidy, and well maintained, with air conditioning, fresh comfortable bedding, and a very comfortable bed. We brought our dog and appreciated how pet-friendly it is, including the water stations and other considerate services for pets. We’ll definitely be back.

The campsite itself is clean, safe, and well maintained, with a 5km cycleway and a local bus into Florence. We stayed two nights, and the Pool Bar service on Wednesday evening cost it a star. The barman seemed more interested in chatting with his lifeguard friend than serving us, and made the worst Mojito I’ve ever tasted. When we complained at reception, the person at the desk laughed, so we didn’t feel listened to. The next customer returned his Mojito in disgust and had to insist on a replacement. Sort this out, because the site is good but this behavior lets it down.

For a family of four adults and one child, staying in central Florence would have been expensive, so we booked a superior Chalet for two nights. It had two separate bedrooms, separate toilets and shower, plus a small sitting area with a very small kitchen. The chalet felt a little cramped, but with limited luggage we managed. It looked somewhat flimsy and I worried about noise, yet it was quiet and we slept really well. The locks were solid, and the area felt safe. The restaurant had a good range at breakfast for a fair price, with a la carte choices as well. Reception service could be better, though the staff were friendly. A good Florence option, especially for families or groups.
