Opera B&B

We had a confirmed one-night booking at Opera B&B in Foggia, and had also reserved and paid extra for parking for our motorcycle. When we arrived, nobody at the reception in the building answered. We tried several times to check in but couldn't, partly because they had us contact them through three different channels: Booking, which should have been enough, plus two WhatsApp numbers. After repeated attempts and nearly two hours waiting outside, we were told our bank card had been declined. That made no sense to us: we'd used the same card for 12 days in Italy, paying at nine other accommodations and for other expenses without trouble. We added another card to our Booking account and that was declined too. I suspect they didn't want to risk a bad review, and then they cancelled our reservation. This left us looking for somewhere else in Foggia at 8:00 PM. I could say more, but don't want to be rude. I can't post a review on Booking, so I'm warning future travelers here to be careful when booking this place. There's no zero-star option, though that's what it deserves. The treatment felt rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. In response to B&B Opera's reply: the booking was made a day ahead and confirmed officially by Booking. We contacted you during working hours, not at 2 AM as you suggest.
