Quarto Novo

The pedestrian area is an ideal location, and I liked having a small balcony. Breakfast was good, with coffee and a croissant around the corner. Parking isn’t safe on site, so you have to use a paid garage. It costs an extra 20 euro from 17hrs till 09hrs in the morning. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room, though, so I didn’t sleep well.

What stayed with me most was how much care everyone put into making us comfortable. Maria de Grazia and Cosimo were attentive throughout and clearly love what they do. The facilities and decor had thoughtful touches everywhere, and it made this one of the most welcoming places I stayed on my trip through southern Italy. When you're far from home, that kind of warmth means a lot. Thanks for everything, I'd highly recommend it.

The rooms are modern, well looked after, and have all the comforts you need. The staff are friendly and ready to help, and you can request a garage if you'd rather not leave your car on the street. It's a very new place right in the city center, easy to get to even by car, and the price feels fair for what you get.

We paid and arrived on a 33 degree day, only to be told the air conditioning wasn't working. There was no air circulation in the room, and it felt like it had no comfort at all. It was dusty and above a restaurant's storage area, with a balcony facing the kitchen vent. First we got smoke from the wood they were burning for a barbecue, then the smell of fried food from below. The old TV suddenly lost its signal, and the phone reception was awful. Cleanliness was terrible too. My partner and I scratched all day, most likely from mites in the mattress. Never again, we'd have been better off sleeping on the street.
