Hotel dal Bracconiere

The rooms were good and breakfast was too, and the location is right on the slopes. Dinner choices were quite limited for vegetarians and people avoiding gluten, though the staff did their best to help.

The food was really tasty, and being right beside the Piste was hard to beat. My wife and I stayed for eight nights around New Year's. We thought dinner was included each night, but had forgotten to book half board. Aldo, Fabio, and the Kitchen staff still found a way to accommodate us and gave us excellent service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. On our last morning we were worried about getting to the bus stop a mile away, and the owner went out of their way to sort it out for us. We'd definitely like to come back.

Francesca, the diligent manager, and the rest of the warm, helpful staff made our winter stay a great one. The food was another highlight, with fresh, tasty dishes and a varied menu each day, served by waitstaff who were motivated and helpful. Rooms were cozy and regularly cleaned, and we had hot water in the shower around the clock. The ski room is close to the slope, and parking, a sauna, and a Jacuzzi are available. The one issue was the heating, which didn't work and made it difficult to dry our shoes. This was our experience at Hotel Bracconiere in Folgarida.

Two weeks before my winter vacation, they canceled the reservation I'd made months earlier and paid for in advance. I guess taking one big group was easier for them than keeping a few individual bookings. They gave no explanation and no apology. Try finding a hotel by the ski slopes at that point. That's why I'd booked so early. I'm going to Austria, and I wish them nothing good. They showed no regard for other people.
