Dama Bed & Breakfast

Daniela’s homemade yogurt at breakfast was a real treat, and she and Mauro took care of us in so many ways. From the thoughtful room details and cleanliness to Mauro’s advice and his attention to us at lunch and on the day we left, we felt completely at ease. It reminded us of being children visiting our parents for Sunday lunch and getting thoroughly looked after. My husband Marco and I have been coming to Foligno regularly for a few years, and we booked DaMa B&B for a long weekend because it’s close to the center and has onsite parking. I was initially unsure about having the only room of the three with a private bathroom outside the room, while the other two have ensuites, but that soon stopped mattering in such a homely place. The breakfasts were amazing, and we felt thoroughly looked after. Daniela and Mauro greeted us like old friends and were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. Even Bobo, the gorgeous boxer, gave us a wagging-tail welcome. Daniela, Mauro, and Bobo really make you feel like family. The rooms are roomy and clean, with care put into every detail, and Mauro quickly takes care of any request. He’s a real all-rounder. Breakfast is incredible, with tarts, cakes, brioches, maritozzi, cured meats, cheeses, and more. We could have skipped lunch. Daniela gave us a gift for our wedding anniversary, which coincided with our wedding, and saying goodbye felt like leaving dear friends. We’ll be back.

Mauro and Daniela won me over on my first stay, so I chose this B&B again. They’re both kind and friendly, and gave me great suggestions for visiting the small villages around Foligno. The place is kept up beautifully, right down to the smallest details. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast buffet has a generous choice of fresh local produce. It’s well placed for pilgrimages to Assisi and Cascia, and there’s parking in the courtyard just a two-minute walk away, which is handy if you arrive by car.
