The owner didn't respond, and what was called a spa was being used for storage. The owner said it was fully booked, but I didn't see anyone using it during my stay. The room smelled mouldy, the furniture was old, the beds were horrible, and the walls were crumbling. There was mould all over the bathroom and the shower leaked. We got no fresh towels or cleaning. You could hear every neighbour, including an annoying dog barking constantly. An absolute disaster. I can't recommend it.

At least the price was low, but you get what you pay for. The bedding was serviceable, and there was WiFi, but the room only looked like a well-designed space with a luxurious spa. The interior was really just cheap fixtures and materials, and the towels felt like cardboard soaked in cigarette water. There was no reception, and the host barely communicated beyond telling us how to check ourselves in. Most of the amenities listed on Booking.com were false. We didn't try the spa because it was too hot for a sauna. This wasn't a bed and breakfast.

The location was handy, close to shops and within reach of restaurants, but finding the place wasn't easy if you don't know the area because there are no signs. There was no reception, and check-in was handled over the phone. The breakfast box was just cheap sugary treats. The room was disgusting. I was surprised by the reviews calling it clean and wondered if those guests were just being nice. There was practically no hot water or water pressure, and the shower wouldn't drain. Things felt dirty or sticky wherever you looked. The towels were rough as sandpaper, the sheets weren't much better, and the bed felt almost like a rock.

The rooms are basic, but clean and tidied every day, just as described, and the staff were great. Our flight was delayed, so we missed check-in, but the staff understood and waited for us. I had doubts after reading the breakfast reviews, but they were wrong: it's a typical Italian breakfast, and the owner chatted with us each morning. I'd stay again.

We won't stay here again, though Naples itself is beautiful and we'll definitely return. We also didn't appreciate the threats the host sent after checkout. We'd forgotten to leave the €10 city tax in the room, something most hotels charge with the booking. We explained and tried to pay by bank transfer, but our bank kept holding it while we were abroad, so we said we'd try again once back in Spain. We kept replying and giving updates, yet on landing in Spain we found messages threatening our family, including our one-year-old son, saying we could never enter Italy again and would be reported to the police over €10. How silly. We did pay the tax, as we did at every other hotel. The room itself was OK and the location was great, but the bed felt like a rock and the towels like sandpaper. We had to use them to dry the bathroom floor because the shower flooded the whole room. Other things were broken too: the toilet button, a shelf hanging by just one screw, and the safe. They offered to come fix them, but on a two-night stay I didn't want to wait around or let strangers into our room when we couldn't even leave things in the safe and the apartment door was constantly open and unattended. We'd arrived before check-in and were told to leave our luggage in the "Reception". The apartment door was often open and nobody was at the front desk, so we later realized our bags had been left unattended in a building where people came and went all the time. The building itself was worn down, with walls literally falling apart in the halls, rain coming inside, and a slippery floor by the elevator whenever it rained, so you had to be careful going in and out. This was not a bed and breakfast, just a decent-looking room in an apartment in a run-down building. A sensor in the ceiling turned on a blue light whenever you moved. Imagine trying to settle a baby with that.
