BB La Rosa Dei Venti

The one thing to plan around is the noise and lack of peace on evening walks near the station, as happens around many city stations. A taxi is an easy option. We have fond memories of our stay and recommend it. The historic, elegant building has a concierge, and the staff were welcoming and polite. Rooms were spacious, well equipped, and well maintained, with excellent value for money. It's a strategic spot if you're arriving by train; drivers can use a nearby paid lot with video surveillance.

The location has good public transport, though being close to the central station also means dealing with the kind of crowd that gathers there. The place is on the second floor of an older building with a renovated facade. My room was fairly spacious, but its balcony faced a very noisy street, much quieter with the windows shut. The bed was okay, but the plastic mattress protector squeaked at every movement and made it hard to breathe normally, so I removed it after the first night. Cleanliness was average, and the shower tray needed a deeper clean. Rooms are cleaned only after the third night, which should be made clear right away. Breakfast is at the pastry shop around the corner, with only coffee or cappuccino and a croissant. Book directly instead of through Booking.com and you won't get a receipt. Bring 20-cent coins, since that's all the lift takes. The manager was somewhat pushy about checkout times because he only comes to the property by appointment.

It's a very nice B&B in a great location, but my stay turned into a terrible experience. I had booked a suite and was given a standard room instead. The property manager told me he'd refund the extra suite cost, but months later I still haven't received it. I've tried reaching them several times, and they kept lying and saying the refund would come.

Imma is lovely and made me feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, beautiful, and very clean, and the bathroom felt welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast at the Sorella bar was excellent, and the location near the center is very convenient. An excellent B&B and a stay worthy of top marks. Congratulations!
