Follonica Apartments - Pool & Relax

Having a washing machine and all the towels and sheets we needed was a real plus. The basement apartment was clean and comfortable, too. The pool stayed clean and was hardly used, so it felt like we had it to ourselves the whole time. There was no air conditioning, though, and the apartments are a couple of kilometers from the center, so you'll need a car to get to the beaches.

Marta was kind and punctual, and the apartment itself was comfortable, clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen. The pool was lovely. We were woken up on the last night at 1:00 a.m. when people arrived upstairs and walked around for an hour in high heels or clogs. It sounded like they were moving in. Check-in doesn't allow late-night arrivals, so I assume they were friends or relatives of the owner who can come whenever they like. Without that, I would have given 5 stars.

The large balcony was a highlight, especially for dinner outside in the evening. Our three-bedroom apartment was comfortable, and the pool was just below the house in the garden. Elena explained everything, shared lots of useful information, and was available for questions right through our holiday. It's a quiet area 2-3 km from the center, with street parking below the house and one assigned space. The price for 7 days was excellent. There were two bathrooms, but only one had a shower, which was a shame. The bathroom doors had no keys, which would have been useful. Otherwise, everything was very clean, with pillowcases, blankets, and towels provided.

The location is excellent, near both the city center and the beach, and for the price it was decent. The property was reasonably clean, but it feels worn. There were stains on the walls, the bathroom was dated, and the mosquito nets were full of holes despite how common mosquitoes are in such a humid area. The receptionist was unprofessional.
