Hotel La Pineta

We'd book this hotel again. The restaurant was good, with a special mention for the seafood carbonara, and hotel guests get 10% off. Ask reception to reserve dinner. Breakfast was excellent too. The room and bed were comfortable, the shower room spacious enough, and the location quiet. It's right by the private beach with loungers and a bar, while the tiny public beach access is only a couple of minutes away on foot. Parking is available on site for a small fee. The hotel is about 20 minutes from beautiful Castiglione della Pescaia.

The trains passing at night were noisy. At checkout, they asked for 7Euros for parking even though it was advertised as free. When my wife challenged this, all I heard was, "you must pay." I paid in the end because people who do me wrong get it back worse. To check their business values and character, I also asked about staying three nights the following week. Their price was 25% higher than the one advertised online. When I showed the front desk, she asked me to email so she could send their best deal, but I never got an email.

The breakfast was amazing, and the hotel is in a safe location. There's a beautiful public beach right in front. Highly recommend this great hotel.

Breakfast was fantastic each morning, with amazing food and Italian delicacies, and the breakfast staff were friendly. I'd recommend eating at that restaurant. The bed was very clean, but the bathroom wasn't as clean, especially the shower, where there was mould in the corner of the door. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you can literally hear neighbours, even when they use the bathroom. Sandro was very friendly and helpful, though most of the other staff seemed too busy to greet you as you passed. It's a nice hotel near the beach.
