The pools were clean and spacious, with lots of loungers and umbrellas, and the beach was great too. It's about a 15 minute walk with a 5 year old, under 10 for an adult. The camp is quiet and great value. Our pitch had a private kitchen and bathroom, was plenty big, and even had a Smeg hob, which I'd never seen at a campsite. I didn't spot litter or overflowing bins anywhere. Our 5 year old loved the children's club. The activities during the day and the evening entertainment were fun for everyone, thanks to the tireless animation staff. They started at 0900 and worked past midnight when the disco ended, knew us by name, and did everything they could to make our stay better. I've seen far worse at 'proper' hotel resorts. Well done, you made it special. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was well priced and restaurant quality. The little shop was small and a bit expensive, as were the cafe takeaway prices, but management didn't mind people bringing their own snacks and drinks into the cafe or pool areas. Most families seemed to pack their own. Management were quick to help whenever we needed anything. When our fridge wasn't cooling fast enough, they immediately gave us another kitchen. They also helped our girl with ice packs after a small fall, and happily let us leave the pitch later than 10am while still using the facilities for the rest of the day. There's a fairly busy single track rail line along the site, but it never woke us or kept us up. This was our first visit, booked on a whim, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found the place. We've already booked a bungalow for next summer. Amazing.
