Riva Toscana Golf Resort & SPA

The food was delicious, and the chef is really good at what they do. Adriana also deserves a thank-you for greeting us with a smile at breakfast each morning and looking after the details so our days started well. My partner and I had a very positive week at Riva Toscana and came away feeling relaxed. Special mention to Golf Pro Alessandro, who gave us several lessons. He was patient, kind, funny, very knowledgeable and experienced, and incredibly helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Thanks to the whole team for being so helpful and making it a great stay.

The pool is nice, and the rooms are cozy, clean, and very Nordic. But I think there aren’t enough staff. We had to wait at reception, at the bar, and at breakfast. Getting coffee took 25 minutes. I read your reply, and you have us mixed up with someone else. We were seated in your breakfast area, but nobody showed us to a table, and no one came by to ask if we wanted coffee. I had to ask three times while the staff carried on clearing tables. We got the coffee after 25 minutes, as I said. We weren’t in a hurry, we just wanted it with breakfast, not afterward. Being ignored like that was quite sad, and having to ask over and over wasn’t nice.

Golf and the food were two of my favorite parts of our surprise package stay. The course is gorgeous, thoughtfully fitted into Toscana’s natural terrain, with ocean views. They had equipment to rent, including a nice set of left-handed clubs. Dinner was great too, especially the risotto and pistachio crème brûlée, some of the best I’ve tasted. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with local and continental options, and the half-board price was well worth it. The reception staff were friendly and flexible, ciao Anna! The pool views were unreal, and the petite spa had enough facilities for a proper chance to relax. Our sheets were crisp and clean, and the room was immaculate. We’ll definitely come back for longer.

A lovely sea view from the pool, a great golf course, and a good breakfast. The hotel was a wonderful escape from the city, with a stunning upgraded room and professional staff. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful retreat.
