Murari Bra 20

I’m leaving my account here because Booking.com deleted my first review and wouldn’t let me write another one after I made a mistake in it. I stayed in February, and the room itself was warm and welcoming. But around 11:30 PM, while I was asleep, a young man came into our room. When I brought it up, the host said he had already deleted the young man’s access code and apologized, explaining that he had accidentally given him the code for our room. The host clearly didn’t understand how serious this was. It affected my negative Booking.com rating [2]. After seeing my rating, the host contacted me to ask why I’d left it and offered a “small refund” if I deleted the review. I advise future guests to lock the door securely.

We paid €200 for two nights, and the bathroom was unusable: a serious leak from the sink flooded the floor. We reported it straight away, but the host ignored it. There was no repair, help, room change, or even a small refund for the trouble. We had to wash using a bucket that was already in the bathroom, then empty it by hand into the toilet. Breakdowns happen, but leaving guests to deal with one like this shows total disregard. The shower was covered in mold, and the hygiene was appalling. There was also a broken showerhead, cockroaches in the room, too few dishes, a wobbly table and chairs, and Wi-Fi that didn’t work. Booking.com eventually gave us a refund, though it didn’t match the inconvenience. The host took no responsibility and, more than 10 days after our stay ended, tried to cancel the reservation retroactively, claiming we had never stayed. At night, we couldn’t sleep because a nightclub across the street played music until late. That isn’t the property’s fault, but calling it “RELAX Rooms-murari Bra 20” when it’s opposite a nightclub feels like another insult. We also witnessed a pickpocket, so be careful in the area. Terrible experience: no service, no hygiene, no respect for guests, and noise at night. Be very careful about how this property is managed.

The host was extremely kind and always available when we needed something, and made us feel welcome straight away. The room was spotless, well furnished, and had all the essentials, including a comfortable bed, fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and an impeccable private bathroom. It felt welcoming and relaxing, and was a good place to unwind or work quietly. The location is strategic, in a quiet area close to the city centre and major public transport, so exploring was easy. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area again. A very pleasant, seamless stay, highly recommended.

We only heard from the host on WhatsApp after we’d already arrived. They said the place we’d booked through Airbnb couldn’t be used because of an issue, and offered a different property farther away with different features. After we reported it to Airbnb, the reservation was canceled. Trying to find something similar at the last minute was a hassle, especially while sorting it all out at a bar table. The host’s messages were beyond comment, and he kept contacting me on WhatsApp even after I reported the problem.
