The small spa was a welcome place to unwind after time at the lakes or hiking. Breakfast was decent overall, with lots of sweet choices and several cakes and pastries, though the savory options were limited. The restaurant was disappointing. The first and second courses seemed low quality and possibly prepared in advance and reheated. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well looked after. There were no slippers or other amenities, which fits a three-star experience. The hotel is conveniently located in Fondo for Lago Smeraldo and Lago di Tret, both reachable by short drives or walks, and Merano and Bolzano are about an hour away by car. Dogs are accepted for €15 per night.

The wellness area was one of my favorite parts of the stay, and the food was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, too. I had a wonderful time and would gladly come back.
