There’s a nightclub right downstairs, and the music carries clearly into the rooms. If you’re here on Saturday or Sunday, expect a sleepless night. We stayed four nights, and I won’t come back. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, the room was freezing. We assumed the heat had only just been switched on, so we said nothing, gathered every blanket we could find in the closet, and slept that way. The following day there was no hot water for a shower. Staff were absent because the hotel was closed on Monday, leaving us alone in the building and facing another cold night. On Tuesday we asked to have the room temperature raised. An employee said we needed to ask, but nobody explained why we’d been left cold for three nights. Wednesday morning we reported again that there was no heat or hot water, and were finally told the boiler was broken. The manager should have told us sooner and provided an electric heater, a duvet, or some other solution instead of leaving us to cope. At checkout, no one apologized or offered a discount, even though services we’d paid for weren’t available.
